Metrum Community Credit Union Rebrand

MCCU is a Denver-metro area credit union devoted to their community and helping the underbanked.

Brief: Metrum Community Credit Union, MCCU had a logo that was over 20 years old, and it was time for a big change. They wanted a new brand that reflected their roots, community-focused mindset, and vision for the future.

We conducted a nose-to-tail rebrand for Metrum over the course of a year, including bank and credit union competitor research and personas for vastly different member groups. The more affluent, family-oriented Centennial, CO area had very different banking needs than the lower-income industrial workers of Commerce City, CO. Creating a brand that resonated with both was paramount.

We have been working with Alicia for nearly a year now and she has been amazing to work with. She has helped our team by guiding conversations to learn about what makes MCCU unique and really helped some of us get out of the ‘port-a-potty’ and gain a fresh perspective.

Through her listening and asking the right questions, Alicia has helped us create a new mission statement and most recently she crafted a new logo design, replacing our current logo that is nearly 30 years old.

Along with the talented design concepts that she presented to us, she is also supporting the branch launch process and continues to push our organization in taking advantage of the unique opportunity that a new look provides.

Alicia is thoughtful and patient and a true partner with our organization.
